Frequently Asked Questions

When should Obstructive Sleep Apnea be suspected?

Bed partners or family members are often the first to identify a case of possible Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) because they are awakened by loud snoring or an apparent struggle to breathe.

Colleagues, friends or family members may notice that a person with OSA may exhibit personality changes such as irritability, mood swings or job performance. The OSA sufferer may fall asleep during the day while driving a car, working or talking. It is important that the person be made aware of the problem and visits a doctor.
